I want to tell you about my new years goals.

first, I'm going to take better care of myself.  I'm going to get my tetth brushed at least twice a day, and use a whitening treatment, get a shower and wash my hair at least every other day.  I'm going to drink more water and walk at least three times a week, and quit eating when I feel full, and hopefully that will aid in my losing a few lbs.  And for a finally, I'm going to kcik off my new home business and work at it every day to insure it's success.  I have alot to offer my community and I intend to do just that.

I am somebody, and I'm going to act like it.

an idea from a friend of mine.

Elf Basket aka Christmas Morning Toolbox

An Elf Basket aka The Christmas Morning Toolbox can be used for various occasions, such as birthday parties, or family get togethers.

Your supply collection might be stored in an easily accessible drawer or a nice container! Here are some items you may want to include:

  • Santa hat for the passer-outer
  • Camera
  • extra film or digital cards
  • extra batteries for camera
  • the video camera...all charged and ready to go!
  • extra film for video camera
  • extra batteries - various sizes - for toys
  • white garbage bags - if you fill as you go remember to check afterwards in case a stray present has hidden in there! Why white, well if you have a couple of white ones and you let the kids mark on them with Christmas pictures, and you use them only for Christmas wrap, they are easy to identify to recheck for missing pieces of presents, stray cards, stray money, etc.
  • Ziploc bags for collecting ribbons for next year, small parts, and warranty papers and instructions!
  • Scissors or utility knife for opening those packages taped by the TAPE QUEEN.
  • Screwdriver - with changeable tips
  • Small hammer
  • Scotch tape or duct tape may come in handy
  • Note pad and pen - for remembering who gave what for thank you notes
  • wire cutters for those for those obscene... plastic ties.. you know the ones too tough for the scissors, that hold things in their packages
  • permanent marker - to label by the kid

The remedy basket:
  • Crackers for queasy morning stomachs!
  • Tylenol and Maalox or their counterparts.
  • Band-aids for cuts from paper and packages.

Thanks to the gals in the Maritimes for several of the ideas in this post.
